American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Providers Course – Blended Learning Option

The Blended Learning BLS Providers Course offers maximum flexibility, combining online learning with a focused, in-person skills session. This option is perfect for busy professionals who need to balance training with a hectic schedule while still receiving the highest standard of lifesaving instruction.

How It Works:

  1. Online Prerequisite: Complete the self-paced, interactive online portion of the course at your convenience. This includes engaging video instruction, real-world scenarios, and essential knowledge checks.
  2. In-Person Skills Session: Once the online portion is complete, attend a hands-on skills session led by a certified instructor to practice and demonstrate CPR, AED use, and choking management for adults, children, and infants.

American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Renewal Course

The AHA BLS Renewal Course is designed for healthcare providers who currently hold an unexpired American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. This course reinforces and updates critical skills in high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants, use of an AED, and effective team-based resuscitation.

Who Can Take This Course?

This course is only available to individuals with a valid, unexpired AHA BLS certification. If your certification is expired, or if you hold a BLS certification from another organization, you must complete either the AHA BLS In-Person Course or the AHA BLS Blended Option instead.

Course Content Includes:

  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Effective airway management and rescue breathing
  • Relief of choking for victims of all ages
  • Team dynamics and communication in multi-rescuer resuscitation scenarios

Course Completion

Upon successful completion of the course and skills assessment, students will receive a new American Heart Association BLS Provider eCard, valid for two years.

American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Skills Session

The AHA BLS Skills Session is the required hands-on testing component for individuals who have successfully completed the HeartCode BLS Online Course through the American Heart Association website or were issued the course by their employer. This session serves as Part 2 of the HeartCode BLS certification process and is mandatory to receive an official AHA BLS Provider certification.

Who Needs This Session?

This session is for those who have already completed the HeartCode BLS Online Course (Part 1) and need to fulfill the hands-on skills testing requirement. You must present your valid HeartCode BLS Online completion certificate to participate.

Skills Sessions Available

We offer BLS Skills Sessions Monday through Saturday at 9:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 8:00 PM, providing flexible scheduling options to fit your needs.

  • Hands-on practice and skills assessment with an AHA-certified instructor
  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants

American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS Provider Course

The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provider Course is designed for healthcare professionals who manage cardiovascular emergencies, including cardiac arrest, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes. This course follows the latest American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines and emphasizes a team-based, systematic approach to resuscitation and emergency response.

This blended-learning course consists of two parts:

  1. HeartCode ACLS Online Component – A self-paced, interactive eLearning course that covers core ACLS concepts, including advanced airway management, pharmacology, and cardiac rhythm interpretation. This portion must be completed prior to the hands-on session.
  2. Hands-On Skills Assessment – A required in-person session where students will practice and demonstrate proficiency in high-quality CPR, airway management, and team-based resuscitation scenarios using high-fidelity simulation.

Step 2: Attend an in-person hands-on session, where you will demonstrate proficiency in ACLS skills.

American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS Skills Session Only

The ACLS Skills Session is for healthcare providers who have already completed the HeartCode ACLS Online Component and need to complete the required in-person skills assessment to obtain their AHA ACLS Provider Certification. This session focuses on hands-on practice and competency evaluation in advanced cardiovascular life support techniques.

The American Heart Association PALS Online Course is for anyone who may not have time to sit in the classroom portion of the course, or anyone who prefers an interactive online training course. This course and certification card are identical to the "in classroom" PALS Course.

The Basic CPR AED Online Course Option is a blended learning course that is designed to teach students the cognitive information needed for CPR and AED training. Upon completion of the online portion, students complete a hands-on session at our facility. *Skills session is included with the purchase of this course.

Upon successful completion of both portions of the course (online and skills), students receive their CPR AED course completion card, valid for two years.

This course is open to anyone who has previously completed the American Heart Association Heartcode PALS 2020 Course, and who's certification is not yet expired. 

Recommended for: MDs, RNs, EMTs, Dentists, Pharmacists, and Medical Personnel
